Easter 2021

Manna Church sees more first time guests visit Manna on an Easter Sunday than any other Sunday, which is vital to the health and growth of the church. Because of this it’s important to successfully promote Easter at Manna to the community, both through word of mouth and external venues such as billboards and mailers.

The goals for this project were:

  1. A cohesive identity, that not only advertised Easter, but also tied into the fact that we were starting a new sermon series on Easter Sunday. The identity for Easter Sunday needed to flow into the look for the sermon series smoothly.
  2. A successful marketing campaign that pointed guests to both our in-person services and online services.
  3. Three special online services to premiere Holy Week, on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday, respectively.

I used the same elements for the Easter design and the 7 Sayings of Jesus on the Cross design so they would fit together nicely. I wanted it to not be disruptive when the video for 7 Sayings played before the message on Easter Sunday.

A challenge to accomplish for this project was the fact that my boss, the Creative Director, had transferred out of the department right before we begun work on this project, and this was my first project after taking on many of her responsibilities. One of those responsibilities was directing videos.

These three videos we produced for Holy Week Online- Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday- I was the one behind the scenes directing the talent, giving feedback on shots, and making sure everyone was where they were supposed to be doing what they were supposed to do.
